Edzo's in Evanston is a must-stop spot. I'd say it's the best burger joint (tied with Kuma's Corner) in Illinois. Ed said I was the first person ever who asked to keep my milkshake in the stainless steel mixing cup. Sorry to complicate things — but I think it just tastes more delicious when it stays in there! We ordered a no-fuss, no-muss cheeseburger ($5.94) upgraded with 8 oz. of fancy organic grass-fed beef ($4 extra), a Chicago-style dog ($1.99), small fries ($1.49), and a market fresh strawberry shake ($5).

You were a darling cat and we love you, Clover.
Our beloved cat, Clover, of eleven years was put down tonight. It all happened so fast. I am glad I was able to snuggle some with her today. I even took this video an hour before she passed. She dozed off, her head slipped off the couch and she managed to stay asleep — it was adorable. I took four videos of her until she finally woke up. This is the one. Perhaps it was her own way of saying goodbye. Although It's difficult to post it — it's my own way to cope and say goodbye. They were very sweet at the clinic and wrapped her up in a pink blanket so we could bring her back home. We laid her to rest in our backyard — we wouldn't have it any other way. Euthanasia at the Animal Emergency Clinic of Champaign County on Neil St., $95.

How I spent my evening.
Flying out of Chicago, showing my mom around Times Square, watching children in awe of all the lights in the Square and pretending I could celebrate my birthday inside of Teuscher's (they were closed).
