Deanie's Seafood.

Yesterday's late night dinner at Deanie's Seafood, off of Bourbon Street. It was a tourist trap, but the catfish was remarkably delicious. The barbecue shrimp was done properly and the drinks were stiff. The $80 check was a touch above its value — but there's nothing quite like being hammered on Bourbon Street with a bunch of yahoos. Some of whom just happened to be from UIUC. (They were not yahoos — they were really nice kids building homes the next day.)

We ordered: multiple Abita Bock ($6.50) barbecue jumbo head-on shrimp, sauteed in Deanie's special blend of seasonings ($11), a few Tito's ice tea ($7), one catfish dinner ($12.95), and a cup of the seafood and okra gumbo ($4.50).
