Cafe Minerva in West Village (food pics).

Thanks to Miss Carlye Wisel, we made our way down to the West Village for some late night dinner and $20 bottles of wine (!!!) at Cafe Minerva. This place was such a cute spot...I hope I get to go again when I'm back in October. Me, Monika, and Artie all shared the following:

1 the menu by candlelight
2 Prosciutto Crostini with olive oil + arugula ($9)
3 Steamed P.E.I mussels in white wine ($14)
4 Tonnarelli Cacio E Pepe: pecorino, ground pepper and olive oil ($14)
5 a filet of Branzino with potatoes ($16)
6 a Pancetta wrapped Pork Loin with grilled Brussels Sprouts ($16)

In Quebec City's Old Port District: Cafe Le Saint-Malo.

Currently, I'm in Quebec City, Canada. Trying to find a non-touristy spot to eat in Old Quebec is just about impossible: there's a good reason so many people come to the oldest city in North America — it's completely breathtaking and the closest thing to Europe since Europe. So, we did our research + did it well. Finally, we decided to sit down at CafĂ© Le Saint-Malo where we were treated to a delicious meal. It was classic French cuisine that was prepared with care, not too salty, + just filling enough to make sure you got your money's worth.

1-3 the menu and sign.
4-6 us dining on the patio.
7-8 the most perfect French onion soup ($8).
9 osso buco Milanaise ($25).
10 a huge portion of lamb sausage, duck confit, and braised veal cassoulet ($25).
11 a slice of chocolate mousse with an incredible crust ($8 including soup + an espresso).

On arrival @FiveLeavesNY (food pics).

Greenpoint's Five Leaves' is extremely legit and affordably priced for such outstanding quality. Plus, the outdoor seating was wonderful with a super attentive waiter named, Harry.

We split an order of their devils on horseback ($7), the cooked to perfection marinated hanger steak ($18) with their aromatic truffle fries ($2 upcharge), watercress + a tomato horseradish cream. Washed it all down with two specialty cocktails ($11 each): Southern Belle (sweet tea vodka, lemons, mint + sparkling wine and the Lechuga Diablo with bourbon, guava puree, honey, lime, chipotle, topped off with cerveza. Instead of dessert, we finished off the evening with a walk through McCarren Park.
